Конкурс для майстрів і дизайнерів "Нова спадщина" | Contest for creators “New Heritage”

(UKR/ENG) «У кого відібрали пам’ять — створює свою».

Для багатьох із нас немає скрині з речами бабусь і дідусів. Немає фотографій, прикрас, листів. Пам’ять обірвалася. Війни, репресії, переселення, голодомори - мільйони українців втратили все, в тому числі і родинний спадок. Але ми можемо створити "нову спадщину" - символічні речі, що збережуть пам’ять і стануть оберегами для майбутніх поколінь.

Саме тому Ukraina Kunstide Stuudio Mrija MTÜ та Prosvita – Ukrainian Cultural and Educational Society in Estonia запускають конкурс "Нова спадщина" для майстрів і дизайнерів в Естонії.

Завдання конкурсу - створити речі, які мають сенс та відображають глибину української культури через сучасний дизайн та ручну роботу. Це нові обереги, прикраси, ілюстрації, дизайн - усе, що може стати культурним спадком.

Переможці отримають замовлення та промоцію, найкращі роботи стануть частиною сувенірної лінійки організацій Мрія та Просвіта, а також будуть представлені на виставці.

“Those who had their memory taken away - create their own.”

For many of us, there is no chest filled with grandparents’ belongings. No photographs, no jewelry, no letters. Memory was cut off. Wars, repressions, forced relocations, Holodomors — millions of Ukrainians lost everything, including their family heritage.

But we can create a “new heritage” — symbolic objects that preserve memory and become talismans for future generations.

That is why Ukraina Kunstide Stuudio Mrija MTÜ and Prosvita – Ukrainian Cultural and Educational Society in Estonia are launching the “New Heritage” contest for artists and designers in Estonia.

The task of the competition is to create meaningful objects that reflect the depth of Ukrainian culture through modern design and handcraft. These can be new talismans, jewelry, illustrations, designs — everything that can become a cultural legacy.

Winners will receive commissions and promotion, while the best works will become part of the souvenir line of Mrija and Prosvita and will also be showcased at an exhibition.
